What is Paint Correction?
Paint Correction is Permanent Repair or Restoration of damaged clear-coated paintwork. It involves removing defects in the top paint layer by DA machine polish to produce a more desired look or finish. Defects include swirl marks, hard water marks, etching, scratches and fading. Paint correction uses different grades of cleanser, polish, or compound.
High quality paint correction requires a certain level of training, experience, skills, and paint work knowledge. This is one of our most sought after services we offer.

Paint Correction VS Polishing Packages
It is a common misconception that these two services are the same. THEY ARE NOT. Polishing is the final stage of a paint correction, or a stand alone gloss/depth enhancer. When performing a paint correction, different combinations (vehicle dependent) of compounds and pads are used for defect removal. We will then go back through and POLISH the corrected finish to perfection. This is where we remove lighter defects often put in by the coarser methods perviously. This can be a slight haze, minor micro-scratches, or any holograms.
Paint correction is required prior to any coating application, options being single-stage, two-stage, or a multi-stage sanding/correction for absolute perfection of the painted surfaces. Included in all of our ceramic coating packages is a single stage paint correction. This typically removes upwards of 70% of defects, enhances the shine, and ads depth to the paint. This is about a 6 hour process.
For an overall paint enhancement, and our most common paint correction package, is our 2-stage paint correction. This gets us closer to the 80-90% correction expectation, and has a super fine finishing polish for that candy like shine. You can expect at least 12 working hours into this package.
For perfection in show cars, or your dream car, we have a multistep paint correction option. We do everything we can from light sanding, to aggressive wool pads, to ensure what can safely be removed, is in fact removed. The walk up of two light polishing combinations gets a fully refined finish sure to leave your friends/peers jealous.
Is paint correction for me?
A paint correction package is not for everyone! This is a serious commitment and investment. When you invest in this type of service, traditionally people will include one of our coating packages, and they begin to hand wash their cars regularly. If you plan on redoing the damage we correct, either via tunnel washes or lack of washes in general, then a polishing upgrade on a detailing package may be best for you.
Maintaining a corrected finish is key. You can only perform this service so many times before there isn’t enough paint to work with and correct.

Included is an entry level coating from Gyeon called CanCoat Pro EVO. We typically use this as a topper for our ceramic line up, but is a great stand alone protection option!
